    ARTICULO 1968 .- Es libre a los terceros obligar o no al mandante, sus herederos o representantes, por los contratos que hubieren hecho con el mandatario, ignorando la cesación del mandato; mas el mandante, sus herederos o representantes, no podrán prevalerse de esa ignorancia para obligarlos por lo que se hizo después de la cesación del mandato.
